Dependency modules

These modules below are a selection of the most common dependency modules.  They are typically of no particular interest but support other modules. Generally you won't need them by themselves but other modules will tell you when they need them on their download (usually) and also when you try to enable them.

Token

Allows Drupal to populate placeholders e.g. In an email you might put: Dear [user],

Date

Provides date functionality such as timezones, date and time fields etc.

Rules

You can use this module to get your site to do an action when something happens on your site.  You can set up your own rules but typically this is used by other modules for example ‎Ubercart‎ can send you an email when your stock levels reach a threshold.

jQuery UI

jQuery is a JavaScript library for common user interface effects e.g. Components that slide open or date pop-ups.
